DIGITAL STORY BEHIND THE SCENES

I got a brief to create a digital story. When I received the brief, I had many thoughts and ideas in my mind about how to create it. I wanted to tell a story that everyone could relate to, but I didn’t want it to be just sad. My ideas were betrayal, love and hate, first heartbreak, and the pain of death. I chose the first heartbreak story because it’s entertaining, relatable, and not too sad. With this topic, my vision was to tell the story in the form of a podcast.

I asked my classmate to help me with the podcast. After recording it, we realized that the second camera wasn’t recording, which was frustrating because we had spent 6 minutes recording that episode. I had to reshoot the podcast, but the classmate who had helped me was not there. Fortunately, I have good classmates, so my female classmate stepped in and helped me with the podcast, and we got it done.

When I started editing the podcast, I couldn’t hear my voice because it was too quiet,I was nervous during the recording. I had to record my voice again, making it louder, so I could overlay it onto the video. After editing, I finished the podcast.

Then came presentation day. I presented first because I knew my story was chilled. I had to play the podcast in front of everyone, almost the whole school. I was nervous since everyone I knew from school was there, but I played it, and it was well received.

THIS IS MY PROCESS

Production Plan:

My plan was to shoot the blog in podcast form, using two angles. 1for the present and 1 for me the guest, to shoot i used a canon camera and used adobe premier to edit.

Host (Malaika):

Welcome back to another episode of Keepin’ It Real Podcast, the place where we get deep and keep it honest. Today, we’ve got a special guest, Zino, who’s about to share a personal story with us. Zino, welcome to the show!

Zino:

Hey, thanks for having me, Malaika. Excited to be here!

Host (Malaika):

Alright, let’s dive right in. Zino, tell us about your first breakup. What happened?

Zino:

Oh man, my first breakup was a long time ago. I was super young, just getting my first girlfriend, and we were both kind of figuring things out. You know, doing what kids do,having fun but not really knowing much about relationships. It started out sweet, but then there was a huge lack of communication. We just weren’t talking about things and things started to fall apart.

The funny part about it was how she broke up with me. She didn’t tell me directly. Instead, she sent her friend to give me a letter, breaking up with me through a note. Laughs It was wild. I didn’t know what hit me at the time, but looking back, it was just a very… interesting way to end things.

Host (Malaika):

Wow, sending a friend with a breakup letter? That’s something else! So, what did you learn from that experience?

Zino:

Honestly, I learned a lot. The biggest thing was the importance of communication. If there’s no communication, things break down, and you can’t expect things to last. I also learned to listen to the people around me. My brother and my friends actually warned me about the situation before it even happened, they could see the red flags. I didn’t really pay attention to them at the time, but looking back, they were right. Now, I know to pay attention to my instincts and to make sure I’m always communicating in any relationship.

Host (Malaika):

Man, that’s some solid advice. Thanks for keeping it real with us today, Zino. I’m sure a lot of people can relate to your story and the lessons you’ve learned.

Zino:

Thanks, Malaika. I appreciate you having me on the show. It’s always good to reflect and share these lessons.

Host (Malaika):

Of course! And to all our listeners out there, thanks for tuning into another episode of Keepin’ It Real Podcast. Remember, communication is key, don’t let a friend deliver that breakup letter for you! We’ll see you next time. Keep it real, everyone.
