Why Rest Matters
Week 5 with Miss Zelda
In week 5, Miss Zelda taught us something we all tend to forget,how important it is to rest. Life gets busy, and it’s easy to keep going without taking a break. But Miss Zelda reminded us that rest isn’t just about sleeping or doing nothing,it helps clear our minds, calm our emotions, and reduce stress. Rest keeps us healthy, both physically and mentally.
To go along with the lesson, we watched a movie called Awake. It’s a 2021 sci-fi thriller about a world where people suddenly can’t sleep anymore. Everything quickly falls apart. The movie showed how dangerous life could be without rest and really made Miss Zelda’s message hit home,rest isn’t a luxury, it’s something we need to survive.
As we keep moving through school and life, it’s important to remember what she taught us. When we feel tired or overwhelmed, it’s okay to pause. Taking breaks helps us come back stronger, with more focus and energy. Rest isn’t being lazy,it’s how we recharge and take care of ourselves.
So next time you’re feeling drained, don’t ignore it. Listen to your body and your mind. Take a break, breathe, and give yourself the space to reset. It could be the smartest thing you do all day.


I wish I could experience sleep like the brother from that movie, it must have felt so amazing to sleep after experiencing that ordeal.
